　　Position Purpose:

　　Responsible for enhancing patient and family satisfaction by collecting and recording their food selections. Assists in ensuring that patients receive foods/meals according to their prescribed diet. Works closely with Clinical Nutrition and other IDT to ensure patient's nutrition needs are being met.

　　What you will Do:

　　Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets.

　　Documents patient intake.

　　Communicates relevant clinical observations to the patient care team.

　　Maintains safe, clean, and organized patient room and unit kitchenette.

　　Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

　　Hours/Schedule:

　　1.0 FTE; 80 hours per pay period; typical hours are 7:00am- 5:30pm but can vary, does include weekend and holiday rotation.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job duties.

　　Intermediate language, intermediate reasoning ability; ability to read; basic math; ability to measure weights/volume.

　　Knowledgeable regarding hand hygiene and food safety.

　　Strong customer relations and communication skills.

　　Ability to be dependable and to follow through on written and verbal instructions.
