JOB REQUIREMENTS: 4NW is a 31 bed mixed acuity care unit thatspecializes in the care of orthopedic and neurological patients. OurOrthopedic patients includejoint replacements,traumatic fractures andinjuries to the extremities, and back pain.4NW also cares for a varietyof both medical and surgical neurological patients including stroke,movement disorders, traumatic brain/spinalinjuries, and mixedneurosurgical patients. All nursing staff are NIHSS stroke certified andall caregivers receive specialized training to promote safe and earlymobilization of post-surgical joint patients. We are very proud torepresent two Centers of Excellence recognized by theJoint Commission.The Joint Replacement Center of Excellence for both Hip and Knee focuseson creating the best and safest patient experience for our jointreplacement patients. The Stroke Center of Excellence focuses on thebest care and treatment for our stroke patients. Hours: This 0.6 FTEcommits to 24 hours per week of 8 (0700-1530) or 12 hour shifts(1900-0730). Every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation. This isnot a temporary or seasonal position. Starting from \$18.00/hr(increases with expereince) Full-time / Part-time: Part Time withBenefits FTE: 0.60 What You Will Do: We are currently searching for aPatient Services Assistant(aka Nursing Assistant) to assist thenursingteam with a variety of patient care activities and related servicesnecessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety ofpatients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking.Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests andprocedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients withbetween-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs underthe direction of a nurse. Typically reports to a registered nurse orsupervisor. Qualified candidates will work independentlyprovidingresource information and general nursing care to patients. Thisindividual completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annualrequirements, audits and patient processes. What You Will Need: HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent for those with less than 5 years ofcaregiver experience. No Degree is required for those with a minimum of5 years experience as a caregiver.
