　　Position Summary

　　With limited direction or supervision, this machine set-up/operator position requires the set-up and/or operation of Thread Rolling equipment. The incumbent will possess and demonstrate the skills necessary to maintain production requirements and quality standards.

　　What are some of the things that you will do..

　　Follow all safety rules.

　　Maintain clean and orderly work area.

　　Set-up and operate equipment as required.

　　Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.

　　Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, IATF16949 and ISO 14001 documentation.

　　Move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.

　　Perform minor machine maintenance such as oil changes and tightening bolts.

　　Assist other operators as needed.

　　Suggest process improvement ideas.

　　All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

　　Let’s talk about you...

　　Ability to use micrometers, gauges, and gauging techniques.

　　Thorough understanding of SPC.

　　Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO 14001 requirements..

　　Ability to set-up and operate one or more sizes/types of manufacturing equipment.

　　Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.

　　Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.

　　Good communication and teamwork skills.

　　Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.

　　Use math skills for blueprint reading, gauging and SPC.

　　Possess the ability to assist lesser-skilled employees

　　Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.

　　Provide written communication as needed.

　　Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.

　　Nice to have...

　　Minimum one to three years experience in direct or related field

　　Previous problem solving and troubleshooting skills/ experience

　　Formal mechanical or technical training.

　　Forklift operation/ material-handling experience

　　Experience operating multiple types of manufacturing equipment
