As a Rods/Bundles Manufacturing Technician Lead in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:The Rods Cost Center is where cladding has a lower end cap welded on, pellets are loading into the weldments, and an upper end cap is welded to produce a rod. The rods are then subjected to scanning and inspection. The Rods Floor Lead is expected to:SafetyEnsures safety procedure compliance by the team.Ensures proper PPE is used.Maintains cleanliness and housekeeping of the area - Performs periodic 6S inspections.QualityEnsures quality procedural compliance by the team.Stops production when needed.Self identifies quality problems and reports to Supervisor.Ensures area logs, data and records are maintained.ProductionFirst point of contact for manufacturing technicians when production issues occur (safety concerns, equipment failure, quality issues, etc.). Takes action to get resolution through support services and/or Supervisor.Ensures parts and supplies are available to support daily production.
