  Our Richmond, VA office is looking for a Civil Engineer to join its Roadway team.   Responsibilities

  We're seeking motivated candidates with an interest in performing a variety civil engineering tasks supporting project managers and collaborating with the team on Roadway projects. You will have the ability to lead tasks for preliminary engineering and final design for projects including, but not limited to, developing geometric alignments, profiles, modeling, design sections, grading design, drainage, construction details, traffic signal plans, and signing and striping plans. You will also be expected to manage the work of and mentor young engineers and analysts on the roadway team, fostering growth and creating opportunities for advancement of your career.

  Qualifications

  Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering

  EIT certification required, PE license strongly preferred

  Three or more years of experience working on the design of roadway projects in Virginia for VDOT and/or local clients

  Working knowledge of MicroStation/Inroads/ORD and/or Civil 3D

  Design experience with roundabouts and intersection improvements, drainage computations and design, and traffic element design is preferred

  Familiarity with VDOT project development process

  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

  Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

  Ability to work independently and in a team
