FTE: 0.600000 Shift: Shift 3 Job Summary: The Registered Nurse isa practitioner is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, andevaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients. The staffRN will be primarily working in either the Medical-Surgical or CriticalCare Resource Pool. This individual demonstrates competency in deliveryof care to a primarily adult population. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Aminimum of 18 months of recent Medical Surgical hospital nursingexperience is required.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge ofnursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired throughcompletion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order tobe eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Upon hireany non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurseexperience will be required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursingdegree) program. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 monthsof hire and the degree program must be completed within 5 years ofenrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing.Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing is preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or aMulti-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (NurseLicensure Compact).
