  Responsibilities

  Works closely with the Senior Director for Nursing Research, Senior Nurse Scientists, and cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and evaluate research activities that address nursing strategic priorities.

  Retrieving, appraising, and summarizing research literature

  Developing research protocols and grant applications

  Collecting, preparing, and analyzing data

  Disseminating research findings through internal reports and presentations, and externally through manuscripts and professional research presentations

  Developing, implementing, and evaluating research/scholarship educational offerings provided to Ascension associates

  Measuring research program activities and outcomes

  Manages the nursing research program

  Works with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for advancing nursing knowledge through conduct of research, translation of research, and/or professional development activities

  Manages program and project teams, addressing and resolving issues to ensure goals remain on track

  Coordinates the delivery of research/scholarship educational offerings

  Develops and compiles reports for the research program

  Maintains nursing research communications (website, newsletters, etc.)

  Requirements

  Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.

  Education:

  Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.Additional Preferences

  PhD-prepared nurses are HIGHLY preferred.

  Experience supporting or conducting research is also preferred.
