Workers will plant, maintain and harvestvarious vegetables and herbs. Work will include both greenhouse andfield work (ie planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing, andother tasks. Sort, wash, pack to prepare crops for storage and shipping,as well as transport and deliver crops from the field to farm and retailstand. Load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles, set up andoperate irrigation equipment, cut brush/vegetation in fields, and aroundbuildings and equipment. Work in extreme weather from damp and cool tohot and humid. Perform physically demanding work requiring standing,stooping, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time. Lift andcarry 50 pounds frequently. Be available Monday through Saturday atvariable beginning and ending times depending on crop and other factors.Take direction in simple English. Tools furnished at no charge toworker.
