Full Time position

　　HOURS: five (5), eight (8)-hour shifts per week or four (4), ten (10) hour shifts depending on schedule

　　WAGE: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.

　　The Registered Nurse (RN) provides minor health care services to family members housed at NEXUS

　　DUTIES:

　　Conducts daily sick calls.

　　Examines family members and provides treatments or medications for minor ailments.

　　Refers serious or questionable medical problems to physician.

　　Examines all newly committed family members for indications of communicable disease and physical disabilities.

　　Orders x-rays and immunizations as needed.

　　Maintains family member medical records and schedules periodic/regular examinations.

　　Reviews and Implements CCCS, Inc. health care policies and procedures including, but not limited to the management, distribution, and record audits of family member pharmaceuticals.

　　Renders first aid as required.

　　Supervises the LPN via employee evaluations and review of work product.

　　Other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator of NEXUS.QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and four years of registered nursing experience is preferred.

　　Supervisory experience preferred.

　　Must possess a state license to practice as a professional nurse. Must successfully pass security background investigation.

　　Medical knowledge as required by State Licensing Board.

　　Excellent written and oral communication skills.

　　Excellent inter-personal skills.

　　Excellent organizational skills.

　　Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.

　　Physically able to handle demands of patient services.

　　REQUIRED ANNUAL TRAINING::Employees new to CCCS, Inc. are required to complete at least forty (40) hours of training relevant to their position during the first year of employment. The Registered Nurse is required to complete at least forty (40) hours of training during each year of employment. Additional training hours may be required for disciplinary, emergency, or program-need reasons as determined by the Program Administrator. Twenty four (24) hours of continuing education pertaining to nursing is required every 2 years.
