Purpose of Job: This position is responsible for the delivery of individualized patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Care and Practice as defined by Ridgeview Medical C enter, the Minnesota Nurse Practice Standards Act, and the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. Demonstrates competencies in the specialty area of . Performs other duties as assigned. When functioning as a Charge Nurse Manages flow of patients through inpatient and/or outpatient departments. Assigns resources to care for patients and arranges staffing to ensure safe patient care. Provides work direction and addresses issues during the shift. Acts as a liaison between staff, patients, and physicians. Demonstrates unit specific Charge Nurse competencies. Review Physician orders.
