Description

　　RN First Assistant- Surgery at Providence Medford. This position is a 1 FTE Day shift.

　　The RN Surgical First Assistant assists with the preparation and use of equipment, supplies, instruments and environment needed for surgical intervention. The RN Surgical First Assistant sets up and maintains a sterile field and consistently applies principles of infection control, safety and aseptic technique. Compliance with all hospital and department policies/procedures, standards and mission statements is mandatory.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

　　Completion of an accredited RN First Assist program which meets the standards established by AORN.

　　Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.

　　National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

　　Certification as a Operating Room RN (CNOR) upon hire.

　　3 years - Operating room scrub experience.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's Degree - From an accredited nursing program.

　　Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association upon hire.

　　1 year - In a Surgical First Assistant role.
