Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Design, install, and checkout mission critical communications systems supporting real-time telemetry data, video, and voice in rocket launch environments to support reusable spacecraft operationsManage & troubleshoot RF communication systems in a land based and maritime environment in support of all phases of launch & landing operations, ensuring systems readiness and mission capabilitiesUnderstand and integrate production (Ground and Marine) RF systems into a fast and changing hardware integration lab test environment.Operate cross-functional systems (Networking, Avionics etc.) and Integrated Ground System (IGS) softwareTroubleshoot end-to-end data flows and identify sections of failureDesign, execute and record tests of the RF systems for requirements verification.Establish procedures for verification of requirements and specifications against selected communications hardware through bench, integrated systems, and field testing to ensure interoperability and functionalityRecommend and apply information security processes and mechanisms to ensure the integrity of mission critical communications systems and ensure the safety of personnel and flight hardwareDevelop and maintain configuration control and inventory of RF communications assetsCreate detailed documentation, including functional and logical diagrams, for mission communications systemsQualifications:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field (electrical engineering, physics, etc.)5+ years of experience as a practicing communications systems engineerExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a highly diversified teamMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Ability to travel in support of test and flight operations3+ years of experience with SATCOM, microwave LOS, or other RF communications systemsInclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
