Plan, prepare and administerRespiratory Therapy treatment and procedures such as administeringoxygen/oximetry, bronchodilation therapy, vent management, pulmonaryfunction tests, arterial blood gas draws, attendance at all \"codes\"and C-sections, and EKG back up for Cardiology using establishedguidelines. Provide ongoing patient assessments, recognize conditionchanges, recommend/provide appropriate intervention, and notifyappropriate personnel. Educate patients and families in activitiesrelated to respiratory therapy. Maintain patient records anddocumentation in a timely manner. Keep current with respiratory therapypractices, technology, and equipment; attend continuing education, readindustry literature/procedures/product information to maintain knowledgeand professional acumen. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program required.Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board ofRespiratory Care. Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State ofMichigan required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificationpreferred, or ability to obtain within 1 month if hired. NeonatalResuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred, or ability toobtain within 3 months if hired. 1 or more years\' experience working asa Respiratory Therapist preferred.
