Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer with strong knowledge in civil and structural engineering. As a Resident Engineer, you will oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations across various commercial and utility projects within the 5 boroughs. This position requires on-site work at Power Generating facilities located in Astoria and Gowanus, as well as other locations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience in construction oversight, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Construction Oversight: Monitor and inspect the work of General Contractors and subcontractors on-site to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety standards. This includes oversight of diving operations when necessary.

Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits, spending approximately 2 days at each site, to evaluate progress and identify any potential issues or delays.

Daily Reporting: Prepare comprehensive daily reports documenting construction activities, progress, delays, safety incidents, and other pertinent information.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction work meets the highest quality standards, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction teams and the project management team and the client, facilitating clear communication and resolving any issues that arise during construction.

Additional Skills Qualifications:

Knowledge of Marine construction or bulkheading/piles is a bonus

P.E. license is a plus
