JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Under general supervisionprovide support for research through projects, maintenance andcommunication of data, and execution of laboratory experiments. PrimaryFunctions * Carry out experimental designs for sponsored researchprojects and perform routine experiments. * Record and compile accuraterecords and communicate summaries of experimental results. * Assistwith the evaluation, interpretation and assessment of experimental dataand quality control of assays. * Participate in meetings with PrincipalInvestigator and research staff and evaluate/interpret the validity ofdata as needed. * Operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance onspecialized equipment used in research. * Prepare media and maintaincells by various culturing techniques. * Oversee daily lab operation inthe absence of the supervisor or Principal Investigator.Perform studieswith research animals and BSL-2 pathogens Preferred Schedule: M-F 8-5Position Requirements: Appropriate education and/or experience may besubstituted on equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Bachelor\'sdegree Minimum Required Experience: No experience required PreferredEducation: BS in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, microbiology,immunology, physiology, or STEM related discipline Preferred Experience:Strong preference for some post baccalaureate or undergraduate labexperience including experience handling laboratory animals andbiological and chemical hazards Field: Biology/MicrobiologyCertification: None Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology,chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management.
