Position Summary/Description:

The person in this position is primarily responsible for processing biological specimens collected from patients enrolled in clinical trials. Some patients will be HIV -positive. Specimens are processed by specific protocols that require all accompanying paperwork to be filled out correctly-on the day of processing and double-checked. Some specimens must be processed in a time-sensitive manner. Some specimens will be packaged into kits that must be shipped the same day. Data about the specimens is entered into the Laboratory Data Management System

( LDMS ) to ensure that the database reflects the processing that occurred and what aliquots were stored.

Education and Experience:

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
