Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Research Senior Associate for its New York, New York location.Duties: Conduct municipal research on various trends in the municipal market, including changes in state and federal politics, changes in fund flows, and issuance patterns. Publish weekly reports with relevant trade ideas by having an in-depth understanding of a complicated specialized asset class. Strengthen client relationships and provide them with ad hoc data reports on municipal market. Determine value consideration and perform bond math for evaluating municipal credit. Generate investment recommendations and provide insights on municipal bonds based on in-depth analysis of data and market conditions. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the performance of municipal bonds, including interest rates, bond yields, and credit spreads. Provide guidance to portfolio managers and investment teams on portfolio construction, risk management, and asset allocation strategies. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance or related field and 2 years of experience as a Research Associate, Research Strategist, Sales & Trading Program Analyst or related position involving conducting financial analyses for a global financial services institution. 2 years of experience must include: Analyzing changes in interest rates and their impact on market environments; Creating z score tables to show relative value for municipals; Performing regression analysis to identify correlations; Drafting, communicating, and presenting financial findings and data to stakeholders; and Bond mathematics.
