Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our design and engineering team in the Seattle area. With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead the Electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuits, proposal, design, and construction phases. You will be responsible for leading design efforts and serve as the engineer of record. You will also support proposal and business development efforts, working with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, project managers, and clients designing power distribution, lighting, telecom and fire alarm systems on various projects, involving commercial, industrial and municipal / government projects. This is a home based role however candidates must live in commutable distance to Seattle as there will be client visits etc to attend.Role accountabilities:
Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination. Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost. Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems. Experience developing solutions to complex projects.Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients' team members.Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN. Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, ETAP, EDSA, Easy Power). Ability to perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination).Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs. Provide mentoring to junior staff.Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications:
