　　The 2019 Executive Order on Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) emphasized that achieving and maintaining global leadership in AI is an urgent national security imperative. As rapid advancements in AI technologies such as machine learning, reinforcement learning, speech recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, and autonomous systems continue to push the state-of-the-art, the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) must keep pace. Research is at the forefront of this effort, championing AI research in both foundational science and applied solutions.

　　This effort is to support the advancement of the state-of-the-art in AI technologies through research, development, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge solutions. At a minimum, this effort will encompass:

　　Exploring and evaluating pioneering AI approaches.

　　Designing, testing, evaluating, and fielding new AI-driven systems and analytics.

　　Developing and implementing strategies that enable the creation of AI systems that maximize accuracy, functionality, and performance.

　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Under supervision, research and develops technically complex AI efforts

　　Performs research, design, development, and implementation activities for technically complex AI efforts under the routine direction of more senior technical staff

　　With minimal supervision, resolves complex AI technical problems by applying advanced principles and Research and Development (R&D) techniques

　　Resolves complex AI technical problems by applying advanced principles and Research and Development (R&D) techniques

　　Resolves highly complex AI business and managerial problems.

　　Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and Research and Development (R&D) techniques from a variety of technical specialties for complex and difficult AI problems.

　　Directs the efforts of a team of engineers or scientists to achieve the objectives of AI projects or tasks

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　15 years of related experience

　　Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited college or university.

　　Or 13 years and a Master’s of Science

　　Or 10 years and a PhD

　　Security Clearance Requirements:

　　Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Physical Requirements:

　　Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

　　Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

　　For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
