　　The Research Lab Assistant II performs lab cleaning and maintenance duties including washing and sterilizing glassware, operates autoclaves and other specialized equipment, using special detergents or other cleaning agents. This position assists in ordering and maintenance of cleaning supplies inventory. The incumbent may be trained on the job in basic bench-work under close supervision of PI or other designated laboratory supervisor. May supervise or assist Research Lab Assistant I.

　　Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

　　May assist in performance of experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of one or more laboratory research projects in a specific area of research.

　　Performs administrative duties in laboratory or following research project guidelines.

　　Maintains project records, as required.

　　Orders laboratory supplies and reagents in a timely manner.

　　Assists in maintaining laboratory and laboratory equipment record keeping.

　　Qualifications

　　Education:

　　High School Diploma/GED, required.

　　College coursework in Biological Sciences is highly preferred.

　　Experience and Skills:

　　1-2 years of actual lab experience including: biochemical research techniques, preparation of reagents and solutions, order/inventory of laboratory supplies, data input, organization and miscellaneous lab functions.Physical Demands:
