Job Description Summary
The Research Associate will conduct research projects/studies bydeveloping project objectives, determining appropriate procedures,selecting statistical analyses to be employed, interviewing researchsubjects, overseeing project progress, producing reports detailing theresults, and working with the research team to ensure project tasks arecompleted in a timely manner.

Job Description
The Research Associate I will:
Interviews research subjects and collects clinical data and medicalrecord information.Plans execution of the study, determining appropriate researchmethodology and statistical procedures to be utilized.Develops research objectives and writes research proposals.Prepares technical reports and articles detailing research results.Co-authors publications explaining research projects.Performs and interprets complex statistical analysis of resultingdata in order to solve technical problems.Develops, uses and maintains relevant computer software and hardwareto meet the specifications necessary for managing project dataincluding statistical analysis. Maintains data files necessary tosupport the objectives of studies.Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interestof the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to Lab Manager, Project Manager, ResearchScientist, or Project DirectorKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a behavioral orsocial science equivalent to that which is typically acquiredthrough the completion of a Master\'s Program.Three to six months experience in a clinical setting which requirespatient contact as an interviewer and/or therapist.A good working knowledge of research methodology and statisticalanalysis and procedures is required.A relatively high level of analytical ability.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to participate as amember of a research team, exchange ideas, work closely withnumerous professional organizations and facilities, and to plan andcoordinate project completions.Communication skills required for writing and presenting detailedexplanatory results.Working Conditions
