Completes alldocuments and parts orders associated with repairs in an accurate and timelymanner. Identifies parts for return timely.Works effectively with others in the shop and accepts helpful technical advicefrom others with more work experience.Communicates effectively with Shop Leads, Shop Coordinators and Managers toensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understoodand followed up on.Always engages in required safety practices and maintains quality housekeepingin work area.Work is accomplished to the Service Departments quality standards, withinallowed time.Reads and understands the manufacturers Operation and Maintenance Manual permachine type and complies with its contents.Inspects equipment and maintains equipment to ensure safe operation.Understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities andcontrols of any piece of rental equipment to ensure all operating controls andfunctions are in compliance with manufacturers specifications.Inspects machines returned from rental for customer damage and notifies thesupervisors regarding any specific damage that was found.Adhere to managers and lead mechanics directions regarding all repairs andservice calls.Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions andfailures with appropriate supervision.Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.Attends training as requested.Assumes yard duties as needed; loads/unloads equipment and cleans returnedrental equipment with pressure washer.Works overtime as required by workload and customers needs.Other duties as assigned by manager.Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDGraduation from a technical school with emphasis on diesel engine preferredHeavy equipment, engine, or mechanic repair experience1-3 years administrative/clerical experience1-3 years customer service experiencePhysical Demands & Competencies:Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearingAsc nding or descending ladders, stairs, etc.Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds ormoreData Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational,communication & math skillsSafety & Product KnowledgeUnderstanding of diagrams and schematicsIntermediate diagnostic aptitudeBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Wynne, and ET/SIS/SIS Web/STWBasic knowledge of Windows/InternetWork Environment:Noise: ModerateIndoors and OutdoorsSpecific Risks: Works with moving, mechanical parts; may work in highplaces and be exposed to equipment vibration and fumesOther Duties:Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings whichmay include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcoholtesting, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain acomprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that arerequired of the employee for this job.
