Demonstrates proficiency in moderate complex laboratory practice including phlebotomy, hematology, urinalysis, specimen processing, and point of care chemistry and coagulation. Performs required quality control and proficiency testing, evaluates data, and implements corrective action as needed. Maintains competency in use of clinical information systems, including RIS, LIS, and EHR, as they apply to job. Manages sufficient supply inventory. Demonstrates competence in use and maintenance of equipment. Demonstrates compliance with OMC and department policies and procedures. Completes and meets all mandatory requirements. Assists with policy and procedure review, development of new testing and training of new employees, as assigned. Performs phlebotomy at skilled nursing facilities, as needed. Other duties as assigned.
