  Job Highlights:

  Expand sales of Production Fasteners to existing MRO customers (No Cold Calling)

  -Experienced Production Fastener professional who understands manufacturing and assembly customer's supply chain needs

  Solution based sales experience in Vendor Managed Inventory, Kitting, or JIT Inventory management of production fasteners.

  BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

  Due to strong demand, AIS – a wholly owned subsidiary of MSC, is seeking a Business Development Executive to work with MSC customers to expand their existing business relationship to include OEM production fastener and component supply. This position will collaborate with the MSC sales and service teams to drive new value-added programs in the direct material space.

  Candidates must have strong skills in team communication and innovative thinking. This position is eligible for salary, full benefits package (including 401k w/match), company car, and variable compensation plan.

  No cold calling required. The MSC sales team will drive engagement with the customer.

  Duties and Responsibilities

  Build productive relationships with the MSC regional sales leadership to drive engagement with the sales teams and their customers

  Experience in a value-added service based, technical sale environment, providing OEM production fastener components

  Collaborate with Customer Solutions and Supply Chain teams to design customer specific fulfillment plans including VMI programs, kitting, or JIT supply programs.

  Develop and communicate newly executed agreements to support implementation and ensure rapid complete penetration and revenue growth of those agreements.

  Education, Experience and Skills

  Minimum five years in OEM component distribution experience required. Fastener experience preferred.

  Some technical proficiency in fastener types, functionality, and nomenclature preferred.

  Possess business acumen and understanding of P&L impact from pricing, margin, and freight

  Proficient in the Microsoft Suite

  Other Requirements

  A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel is required.

  Ability to travel up 50 % to visit customer/clients in specified territories.

  Compensation starting at $93,450 - $146,850 depending on experience.

  The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
