  Job Summary and Qualifications

  Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team who will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients.   What you will do in this role:

  You will perform general respiratory therapy to all ages in accordance with age specific criteria including incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy and suctioning.

  You will perform and evaluate diagnostic studies to include bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics and blood gas analysis.

  You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.

  You will have accountability for delivering quality respiratory services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

  What qualifications you will need:

  Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program required.

  Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC.

  Respiratory Care Practitioner Certificate through the Texas Medical Board

  A minimum of 2 years experience in Critical Care in a hospital setting is preferred.

  Current BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire date.

  ACLS, PALS, and NRP are preferred.
