　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　We are seeking a Stroke Coordinator (RN) in Quality Management for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. 　　What you will do in this role:

　　You will coordinate the clinical management of the stroke patient population across the entire continuum of care.

　　You will serve as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative.

　　You will act as a clinical resource/ role model for all areas caring for stroke patients.

　　You will provide and/or coordinate educational activities for both staff and patients.

　　You will oversee implementation of The Joint Commission stroke guidelines.

　　You will need analytical skills necessary in order to develop and implement program plans, education techniques, and evaluate program effectiveness.

　　You will perform concurrent review of stroke patients for core measure compliance.

　　What qualification you will need:

　　Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

　　Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).

　　Three year’s recent clinical experience in an Acute Care Stroke/Neuroscience Unit.

　　BLS, ACLS required.

　　Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Office.

　　Ability to apply critical thinking skills for process improvement and decision making.
