Job description Schedule: The nurse must be available on various weekdays along with one weekend a month from 7p-11p. Additional availability outside these hours is welcome but not expected. Pay: Hospital in Your Home visits are paid at a per-visit rate of $85 with visits lasting anywhere from 45-75 minutes. Weekend visit rate is at a premium rate of $90 per visit. We aim to stack visits back to back to maximize your ability for more $$! Infusions completed outside of Hospital in Your Home are paid at the nurse's hourly rate. This position is responsible for ensuring our clients are receiving high-quality care and delivering high-quality care when working in a hands-on setting. The Hospital in Your Home experience is designed to provide hospital-level care in a patient’s home environment. Based off diagnosis and insurance payer, when a patient presents to the hospital, our partner may offer them the option to be admitted into their home and be seen by all clinicians in their home environment. This allows for deeper engagement between the clinical team and the patients, a consistent care team through phases of care addresses goals of care and underlying social determinants of health and care that is designed and centered around the needs and wants of the patient. While being admitted to their home, a patient may expect visits from Registered Nurses, Caregivers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietary Specialists, Meal delivery services, Mental Health Specialists, Phlebotomists, Sonographers, Paramedics, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare providers. We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) who equally supports this innovative experience and is enthusiastic about replicating the capabilities of a brick-and-mortar hospital with in-home services. The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the experience by reporting status of patient at each visit to the attending physician. To be eligible for this position, you must have strong IV skills, feel comfortable working in a home setting, be able to work autonomously, have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, electronic documentation skills, time management skills and must be comfortable with a fluid schedule. Previous hospital experience is preferred. RN Responsibilities: * Prepares clinical documentation in real-time during visits and submits within one hour of completed visit to BrightStar Care office * Participates with all other Hospital in Your Home personnel in patient care planning * Performs all skilled procedures as ordered by physician * Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment via telecommunication RN Requirements: * Current unrestricted RN license in MO * Reliable car and auto insurance * Valid Driver's License * Current CPR Certification (BLS- Red Cross or American Heart Association) we offer a class at a reduced cost if you need your BLS * Negative TB test within last year * Clean background and criminal record * Laptop or Tablet that can be used in the patient's home for charting purposes * COVID Vaccine * Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against applicants due to race, ethnicity, gender, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
