Performsassessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care Administersprescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approvednursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, andstate laws/practice act as required by care setting. Ensures alldocumentation is accurate and comprehensive in accordance with theestablished standards of care for documentation at the system and entitylevels. Develops initiates and executes a patient plan of care accordingto the patient\'s individualized needs, as prescribed by the physicianand/or hospital policy. Utilizes resources available to teach andsupport patient and family education. Provides education to theappropriate level of understanding. Participates in department or unitperformance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments insupport of the patient\'s longitudinal plan of care.
