$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Extend Unit (MSE).
WORK SCHEDULE
36 hours per week (90% FTE)
3x12 shift schedule
Night shifts only (7:00pm - 7:30am) DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our unit is tailored specifically for low acuity medical-surgical patients, patients undergoing transitional care, and patients with light behavioral health needs
We have 43 beds and will be increasing to 50 beds this year
We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios
Our RNs work in close partnership with a team of physicians and certified nursing assistants
We are a great match for RNs with previous experience in long term acute care or behavioral health PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers and therapists
Restore patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices
Identify care needs
Manage complex health issues
Monitor and administer medications
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
2 years of medical-surgical, skilled facility, psychiatric, or long term care nursing experience
