DescriptionPosition SummaryProvides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.Hours: Monday-Friday day shift - No Holidays or Weekends (4-10s from 7 am to 5:30 pm, but open to discussing 5-8s from 7:30 am to 4 pm)Call: Call is usually 1 night of call per week (5:30 pm to 7am) and 1 weekend of call every 6 weeks (7 am to 7pm). Flexibility is required based on staffing. Staff will be required to come in when called for emergency procedures.Types of Procedures you will see in this department include: thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, thyroid biopsies, bone marrow and bone biopsies, other organ biopsies (lung, liver, kidney, etc), coronary heartflow CT scans, abscess drains.
