Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

What qualifications you will need:

Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

1 year acute care experience
