JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital &Clinic\'s Emergency Department provides care in the outpatient settingaimed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of thepatient. The RN also employs the use of evidence based information toachieve and ensure patient safety and quality of care while assisting toimprove patient outcomes. Duties include: Understanding the triageprocess; ability to make quick and accurate assessments of incomingpatients, including both physical and mental health problems.Demonstrating appropriate nursing interventions such as identifying andclarifying patient needs, performing procedures, conducting healtheducation, promoting patient advocacy, coordinating nursing and otherhealth services, assisting the patient to navigate within the healthcare system as needed, and evaluate patient outcomes. Employingknowledge of medications and IV fluids in addition to correctadministration, based on age of the patient and patient\'s clinicalcondition. Demonstrating ability and proficiency with IV placement.Understanding of cardiac monitoring and ability to identify dysrhythmiasand perform EKG\'s as needed. Work Schedule: .5 FTE/20 hours weeklyWeekday Schedule: Varies from 3pm-11pm, 7pm-7am, or 11pm-7am. WeekendSchedule: Every 3rd weekend rotation (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) from7pm-7am Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure inthe State of Wisconsin. Current BLS Certification. ACLS Certificationwithin 6 months of hire. TNCC Certification within one year of hire.PALS or ENPC Certification within one year of hire. PreferredQualifications: Prior ER Nursing experience preferred. Experience inEPIC computer system.
