ResponsibilitiesAs an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. River 6 Surgical Unit is a dynamic 43 bed acute care floor that cares for pediatric patients across the age continuum. Our CICU is a 24-bed unit quaternary care referral center, patients cared for are newborns up to young adults with acquired and congenital heart disease.This role offers a unique learning and growth opportunity to work with ventricular assist devices for cardiac transplant patients on both units. Training on ventricular assist devices will be provided.RequirementsRequired Credentials: - Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions at time of hire unless the incumbent possesses a current appropriate Life Support Education required for their practice area (refer to requirements per practice area below.) BLS must be maintained in current status until the incumbent obtains the appropriate Life Support Life Support Education required for their practice area (refer to requirements per practice area below) NOTE: Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
