SCHEDULE: (24 Hours/Week)**[COMPENSATION: $19.00/Hour
[AGENCY DESCRIPTION[One of the oldest organizations of its kind in the country, Community Partners in Action (CPA) was founded nearly 150 years ago to champion criminal justice reform and advocate for preserving the dignity of those in and out of prison. Through our programs that include reentry and housing, youth initiatives, a nationally recognized Prison Arts Program, and holistic alternatives to incarceration, we provide a long-term impact that positively transforms individuals and society at large. Annually serving nearly 7,000 individuals throughout Connecticut, our work is possible due to partnerships with and support from individuals, government, private funders, organizations, and businesses.[CPA launched our **BEDI (Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Journey in June 2020. **[PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:[ Community Partners in Action (CPA), founded in 1875, provides a transitional residence to clients referred by Court Support [Services Division to the Alternative in the Community Program network with a stipulation of transitional housing for at least part of their program commitment. Clients participate in day programming at the Hartford Alternative In the Community. (Established 1989)

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma/GED and one year of experience transporting individuals. Must have valid CT drivers license, clean driving record and reliable transportation. Ability to positively interact with multi-cultural program participants. Strong organizational skills preferred. Must demonstrate maturity and stability, trauma informed approaches and cultural responsiveness; models pro-social behavior. Willingness to work flexible schedule. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
[ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES]{new="" roman="" times=""}
Commits to agency mission and program goals.
Receives and coordinates transportation requests to serve as many clients as possible.
Provides safe transportation throughout the identified region based on requests from referring/assigned officers for court ordered defendants and Probation/Family Service clients.
Assists with programs transportation needs as required.
Assists with urine collection from clients, as needed.
Maintains programs vehicles, vehicle records, and vehicle safety equipment, including first aid kits.
Maintains vehicle logs as directed.
