The Regional Sales Director is responsible for all aspects of managing the business in their assigned region. This includes achieving retail sales goals, staying within allocated spending budgets, and recruiting, retaining, coaching, developing, and motivating all talent within the region. In this role you will work as a brand ambassador to develop and grow the ABH business in partnership with a regional team by building strong collaborative relationships focused on generating retail sales and growing market share. You will effectively communicate the brand story and educate retail teams on all ABH products and services. Additionally, this position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with retail leadership, especially Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers, General Managers, Department Managers, and Store Directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for achieving a retail sales plan for an assigned region.
Responsible for managing all regional spending budgets, including freelance and travel expenses.
Responsible for attaining objectives of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by the company.
Responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
Maintain ongoing coaching, training, and motivation of store personnel on all ABH products and services.
Execute regular business review meetings with key district/regional management to negotiate additional brand exposure and to strategize for retail sales growth.
Negotiate quarterly all corporately scheduled event dates with national retail event managers and establish realistic and achievable retail event goals.
Build a professional team of Territory Sales Managers that are engaged and committed to achieving retail sales goals. Recruit, interview, train, coach, develop, and motivate all TSM talent within the region.
Lead by example, using a collaborative approach to finding win-win solutions with internal and external partners.
Act as HR operations liaison to the region. Manage all HR-related personnel tasks, such as facilitating new hire documentation to writing and delivering all performance assessments.
Clearly communicate in a timely and consistent manner with retailer personnel and all appropriate ABH team members including VP, regional team, and corporate headquarters.
Elevate potential business opportunities and provide efficient feedback to appropriate personnel regarding ABH strategies, trainings, selling tools, and products.
Collaborate with the ABH corporate teams to improve and enhance all aspects of the brand’s presence in stores, including visual merchandising, space and location, inventory flow, promotional collateral, etc.
Understand the nature of each store environment and know how to get things done. Identify strengths and weaknesses with the business and the people in each market and formulate action plans with specific goals and timetables to address opportunities.
Stay broadly exposed to the competitive landscape in the region, including on-going evaluation of store trends and brand rankings in each market.
Responsible for completing all administrative reporting on a timely basis.
Responsible for adherence to ABH dress code guidelines, while evolving looks to reflect current beauty trends.
Serve on task forces to support corporate test initiatives as requested.
Be available to support additional PR events as requested.
Take on additional temporary RSD territory assignments as requested.
Present best practices presentations to entire team at National and Regional Meeting breakout sessions.
Attend additional training and development seminars as requested.
COMPETENCIES:
7+ years of cosmetics retail experience with strong artistry skills.
Minimum 3 years of management experience.
Demonstrate ability to coach, motivate, and inspire others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of internal and external personnel.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, as well as the capability to see the “whole picture.”
Thrive in a fast-paced business environment where flexibility is a key characteristic.
Ability to work independently and to resourcefully resolve issues and troubleshoot questions.
Ability to track and monitor a large amount of retail data and make strategic decisions based on sales analysis.
Advanced technology skills mostly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a safe, reliable vehicle are required.
A high amount of overnight and air travel is required.
A valid State Board esthetics/cosmetology license issued by the state of residency is recommended.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is bonus eligible.
