The Western Regional Controller is based out of the Regional Corporate Office in Phoenix, Arizona. Ideal candidates will have successful Automotive Controller experience. The position requires strong leadership qualities with strengths in developing leaders, operational knowledge, asset management, and the identification of profit opportunities. Benefits: * Fast-paced, challenging work environment * Competitive compensation package that includes a demo allowance * Career growth opportunities * Medical and dental coverage * Paid vacation * 401(k) with company match Overall Objectives and Responsibilities: * Manage risk and ensure accurate books and records by assuring adherence to all BHA policies. * Partner with other regional teammates to enhance operating performance by monitoring dealership financial results to identify areas of opportunity, as well as internal benchmarking; following through on operational initiatives and expense objectives to ensure action items are being appropriately addressed to ensure acceptable levels of operational performance; communication of best practices. * Responsible for the personal development of each of the controllers through ongoing communication, training, sharing best practices, setting benchmarks, challenging current results, and setting clear performance objectives. * Close involvement with controllers of underperforming locations monthly; periodic meetings with newer controllers and controllers not meeting performance expectations are crucial. * Retaining, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new controllers and controller trainee candidates. * Oversight of the dealership’s month-end closing process to ensure timely closure and accurate financial statements. * Detailed involvement in acquisition planning, closing, and post-closing integration.
