As a regional admissions coordinator, this candidate will be living and working in the Indianapolis, Indiana market to foster and grow relationships with students, counselors, school officials, and the local community. Prospect generation, fielding questions via email or phone, reading applications, and assisting in on-campus events are also responsibilities of this role.Essential FunctionsSupport and implement marketing and recruitment programs, activities and initiatives promoted by the Office of Admissions.Develop target markets to promote UC to the general public including but not limited to high school counselors, parents, and prospective students. Maintain a database of prospective students.Serve as a liaison between local and regional recruitment efforts to ensure goals and efforts in regional territories are meeting departmental goals.Develop and present special programs to assist and counsel student/parents on financial aid, registration options, housing, orientation, career development programs, and other enrollment steps.Spend approximately 25 days per year on UC campus for training, updates, and participation in major marketing/recruitment activities.Effectively manage the operating budget allocated and the assigned regional territory to recruit and successfully enroll students.Review undergraduate admissions applications and make admissions decisions.May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).Perform related duties based on departmental need.
