  Position Summary

  Strengthen district alignment to support recruiting, hiring and retention initiatives by ensuring our stores are enabled to hire candidates faster. Coordinate the training and development of all store employees in accordance with division, company and government policies/procedures. Manage turnover and retention. Support all store associates with business retention initiatives and Customer 1st strategies. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

  Essential Job FunctionsEnsure pay codes are entered and monitored regularly in the Kronos systemOnboard new associates for all store departmentsMaintain employee records in accordance to government regulations and confidentialityOversee community recruiting (e.g., store recruiting, store job fairs, hanging signage, days of hiring, etc.) to ensure store hiring candidate pool is sufficient to fill hiring needsMaintain staffing levels at all times by hiring and training store associates per the approved formatRecruit and onboard new applicants for all store departmentsEnsure new associates complete the online work experience credit formConduct new hire orientations using the company approved outline and materialsConduct/coordinate continued training to associates through required programsUnderstand union contracts, associate handbooks, policies and procedures and explain them to key stakeholdersPerform staffing duties (e.g., conduct initial interviews utilizing written job descriptions and conduct hiring, pre-employment drug screens, and criminal background checks)Assist management in tracking/analyzing turnover and execute retention best practicesOversee the accurate completion of all new hire paperwork and forward to the Human Resources Shared Service Center (HRSSC) in a timely mannerEnsure associates' medical files/records are in accordance with government regulations and confidentiality requirements (in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)Work with store leadership and district Associate and Customer Experience Coordinator to identify opportunities in executing division initiativesAdhere to and ensure associates adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelinesPartner with district Associate and Customer Experience Coordinator to coordinate travel to other stores or other locations/meetings to support recruiting, hiring and retention processes/initiativesHandle all HR functions within the store (i.e., promotions, demotions, transfers, leaves of absence)Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

  Minimum Position Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDAbility to take on tasks outside of expertiseProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong leadership skills

  Desired Previous Experience/Education Bachelor's DegreeAssociate Degree or retail supervisory experience

  Education Level: High School Diploma/ GED Required
