　　ANSYS, Inc. seeks R&D Verification Engineer II to work in Canonsburg, PA

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　The R&D Verification Engineer II will conduct software testing of ANSYS applications. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issues. Will specify and write test cases, creates, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts. Will perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems. Creates test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics. Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in a related occupation.Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Experience with Windows, VM's, Compute Clusters and Cloud; Experience with CAD and Simulation design products such as Ansys, SpaceClaim, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo Parametric, CATIA, CADNexus CAPRI, or UGNX;Programming experience in Python, C#, C++ or JavaScript; Experience with CAE tools in industrial or academic projects, and familiarity with the associated engineering principles; Experience with Microsoft development and testing tools, ADO, Visual Studio;Experience with Waterfall or Agile software development model; andExperience with Remote Desktop (RDP)Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting from home office within commuting distance to an Ansys office.
