R&D Scientist, Chemistry – 6-12 months research project
Lillestrøm, Norway
Our bead and chemistry capabilities in Norway play a crucial role in supporting key flagship projects across Thermo Fisher. Our particle technology R&D group in Lillestrøm now has 25 chemists working in the field of polymer, organic and inorganic chemistry. The group specializes on development of magnetic Dynabeads and DynaGreen for isolation of biomolecules, diagnostic assays and DNA sequencing.
We are now hiring a R&D Scientist to support a research project.
What will you do:
Participate in the development of surface coatings & functionalization.
Participate in the development of magnetic particles mainly based on iron oxide.
Plan, design, execute and report experimental work.
Enjoy working in cross-functional teams.
Maintain high level of quality through detailed documentation.
How will you get there:
BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or other related fields, or technical college (teknisk fagskole eller yrkesskole) with relevant laboratory experience.
Enjoy working in the lab; majority of your time will be spent on lab work.
Like to take initiative and at the same time be part of a team.
Structured and dedicated
Experience from industry will be an advantage.
Experience with quality management system ISO13485 and use of experimental design are considered an advantage.
Strong English skills and fluency in a Scandinavian language is preferred.
