Kelly Science is seeking a R&D Manager, Gas Chromatography for a growing client located in Bellefonte, PA.

　　Shift: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

　　Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire

　　Summary:

　　As the R&D Manager for the gas chromatography research and development department, you will be responsible for driving new product development and raw material synthesis with a team of scientists.

　　Job Duties Include:

　　Develop and support the launch of new GC column products and accessories.

　　Evaluate and develop strong intellectual property.

　　Drive idea generation and focused research as part of new product development.

　　Provide guidance and support for staff and colleagues through the new product development process.

　　Oversee polymer and raw material synthesis in support of manufacturing

　　Promote a formidable team environment focused on innovation through departmental leadership and support

　　Drive elevated expectations for product delivery and personal development by establishing and reviewing personal and team goals

　　Conduct performance reviews and recommend merit salary increases and/or bonuses

　　Develop yearly budget requests

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific field. Master’s or PhD in chemistry preferred.

　　8-10 years of experience with gas chromatography and/or polymer synthesis. 2-4 of those years being within a leadership position.

　　Experience with new product development. New product development experience within gas chromatography is a plus.

　　Strong ability to positively influence a team and strong leadership skills.
