　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Radiology Technologist

　　Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis/treatment, and you will perform procedures accurately in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

　　Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.

　　Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

　　Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures

　　Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated

　　Assure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation

　　Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in

　　administration of contrast media when indicated

　　Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment

　　Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

　　Qualifications

　　Vocational/Technical education

　　Valid ARRT (R)

　　Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

　　Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

　　Experience as a Radiology Tech in an acute-care hospital setting is preferred

　　Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
