Job Summary

　　Demonstrates the physical ability to transport patients using various modes of transportation including wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, etc. Is a patient advocate in meeting the patient’s wishes during the hospital experience. Provides privacy and confidentiality. Possesses the ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels of the health care system staff and customers. Has a basic understanding of all aspects of the department in order to offer basic support when necessary.

　　Job Duties

　　Transports patients, equipment and supplies as requested to and from various areas on the Lewistown Hospital campus.

　　Ensures patient safety during transport.

　　Assists in lifting and moving patients as requested.

　　Performs support functions on off shifts and weekends such as darkroom, filming, etc.

　　Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
