　　Radiology Assistant

　　Under the direct supervision of the Radiologic Technologist and Team Leader, assists in the performance of radiographic procedures and related clerical duties. Is ultimately responsible to the Imaging Services Supervisor.  Performs clerical duties in a timely professional manner related to the patient registration, scheduling, examination orders, requests for films and exam results. Answers telephone in a positive and professional manner. Registers Imaging Services and Lab patients for current day of service and obtains appropriate financial information and consent signatures ensuring all required paperwork is obtained. Reviews and updates patient demographics and payer information to ensure BMC has accurate and current information to process claims and obtain payment. Performs other duties as assigned.
