The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialistperforms routine will perform routine x-ray examinations in accordancewith Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicableregulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician, as wellas supports in other needed areas of the facility. This role requiresefficient and accurate delivery of one-on-one patient care whilethriving in a fast-paced environment. The RT MSS ensures that everypatient is treated with quality clinical care and receives an excellentpatient experience from welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues.Responsibilities Radiologic Technologist Duties Prepare patients forradiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms,provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients inpositioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures andobserve patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during thex-ray exam. Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the bodyfor diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjustcontrols to set exposure time and distance according to specification ofexamination. Take x-rays following established radiologic requirementsand regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Use radiation safetymeasures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and teammembers Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Reportequipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director Ensure allRadiology workflows are followed and all Radiology reports crosscorrectly to EMR Follows documentation procedures and completes requireddocumentation related to patient x-ray visit. Maintain all x-rayequipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keepingin accordance with current policy and procedures Medical AssistantDuties Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT...
