  Job Description

  Position Summary:

  This position involves specialized work in developing and maintaining staffing and financial data at Midwest Manufacturing and supplying accurate and timely information and support to the Division Controller, General Plant Manager(s), and Midwest Manufacturing General Managers.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Financial Review and Analysis

  Implement strategies to expedite and improve the closing process at the plant levels

  Review and analyze Plant financial statements for accuracy and discrepancies

  Act as an intermediary and assist Controllers/Controller Trainees with margin analysis and financial information reporting to the MM Accounting Team

  Work with Controllers/Controller Trainees to identify and resolve problem trends

  Work with Plant Controllers to monitor, track all inventory levels

  Collect plant financial data from each site, consolidate and disseminate financial reports to Division Controller & General Plant Manager(s)

  Assist Division Controller with financial information for new plant expansion

  Office Management Functions

  Assist in interviewing, hiring, and terminating Controllers/Controller Trainees

  Help develop & train Controllers/Controller Trainees at all plant locations

  Follow established processes for problem handling or resolution

  Review and verify billing for accuracy

  Verify accounts payable and receivable

  Additional Responsibilities:

  Constantly monitor work to ensure the highest level of quality

  Assist Division Controller & Asst. Division Controllers in all duties and responsibilities

  Complete any additional management functions as assigned by Division Controller

  Assist in the start-up process for new plant locations (when applicable)

  Skills/Requirements

  POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting/Finance

  Minimum two years of experience in Accounting/Finance

  Working knowledge of modern accounting methods and techniques

  Use of Microsoft Office products- Excel, Access, Word

  Able to manage multiple priorities

  Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers

  Able to work independently, as well as, cooperate with others

  Able to work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work

  May be required to work overtime including weekends and holidays

  Able to communicate clearly and accurately
