Position Summary:

　　The Radiation Therapist is responsible for localization of treatment areas and administration of radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy school

　　American Heart Association BLS

　　American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

　　Three (3) years of experience in a similar role and knowledge of electronic health record operating systems.

　　Essential Job Functions:

　　Administers radiation therapy

　　Ensures all documents required for treatment are completed.

　　Performs simulations and simulation radiography (i.e. CT, MRI, and PET) to localize treatment area while confirming treatment plan with the Radiation Oncologist.

　　Educates patient regarding procedure on first day of treatment.

　　Observes all safety regulations concerning ionizing radiation both for self and patients and reporting any incidence outside of normal operating parameters to the Medical Physicist.

　　Attends weekly chart rounds and monthly department meetings.

　　Maintains a safe and clean environment within the work setting.

　　Performs other duties as assigned.

　　Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment

　　Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health

　　Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

　　Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines

　　Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed
