　　Position Summary:

　　Under the guidance of a registered radiation therapist assists in ensuring the smooth flow of patient care within the department by stocking, preparing, and maintaining cleanliness of patient rooms, ensuring proper level of supplies for department inventory, assists in the treatment of patients and scheduling patients according to established policies and procedures, and performs assigned duties as they directly relate to patient care.

　　Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

　　Assists with morning preparations in treatment rooms and performs warm up and QA as needed.

　　Stocks linens and supplies in all assigned rooms and removes soiled linen bags as needed.

　　Maintains supplies and patient mold closet, notifying lead therapist monthly.

　　Removes, cleans, and stores patient setup devices after each patient procedure and prepares treatment room for the next patient following documented setup instructions.

　　Under the direct supervision of the registered radiation therapists, assists the radiation therapists with the treatment of patients. Includes but not limited to; reads the treatment charts, greets the patients, assists the patient onto the table, sets the treatment parameters including field size, SSD, etc., retrieves the necessary treatment devices, and adheres to universal precaution guidelines. Administers ionizing radiation for therapy under the direct supervision of the licensed radiation therapists

　　Required:

　　High school diploma or equivalent.

　　Currently enrolled and in good standing in final semester of an accredited radiation therapy program

　　BLS certification
