　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Radiation Therapist works in conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist, Chief Radiation therapist, Physicist and other radiation therapists to assure safe and accurate deliver of radiation therapy to patients. He/she influences the care delivery system by interacting with the patient, family, physician, radiation therapist, appropriate nursing staff, and ancillary departments acting as a liaison between disciplines as necessary. He/she assists the Chief Radiation Therapist with administrative functions as necessary. He/she will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of the assigned unit, department, and institution.

　　Hours:

　　Regular hours are Monday through Friday between 7:30AM and 4:3OPM. May be needed for emergency treatments on a rare basis.

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology.

　　Licensure: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in radiation therapy required. BLS required.

　　Experience: 2 years of previous experience as a radiation therapist preferred. Demonstrated ability and willingness to educate other staff. Ability to work independently
