Job Summary Compile andreview data on factors that can influence costs; make recommendations onproceeding with bid/quote process and interface with customers to obtaininformation needed for quoting Make recommendations on make vs. buyparts; initiate inquiries for price information from potential suppliersDevelop accurate cost information for labor and/or materials associatedwith doing quotes for mechanical business and making products; collectinformation from engineering, purchasing, production, etc. as requiredCreate labor routers for assemblies, ensure existing routers accuratelyreflect actual production times Prepare cost estimates and pricequotations on new business as well as redesigns of existing businesswithin established deadlines; ensure backup information is saved inquote folder Make sound and accurate judgments based on previousknowledge; interpret detailed and sometimes poorly defined informationAdhere to General Requirements of Team Members Perform other assignmentsas required Responsible for the proper handling and management ofhazardous waste generated in their work area.
